Just finished 20 hours with the pupil from hell. Dad, who apparently left home, (not surprised) booked and paid for 20 hours. Her first words were along the lines of-: "I don't want to *** be here and I'm telling you now no *******one makes me do what I don't ******** want."
However she had to do the lessons because ****dad and his evil ***** girlfriend would kill her.
Didn't have dads address or phone number so couldn't return the money and run, so we wasted two hours every week on an estate, nearly got her onto the roads once but at the end of the street both feet came off the peddles and with the car still moving she folded her arms. "Told you I wasn't ********** doing it"
Five minutes before the end of the last lesson had to dual her because she took off her seat belt and was getting out of the car before making it safe.
Why do parents do this to 17 year old girls? My grand daughter said at 17 she wasn't learning to drive. At 21 she realised she had to, put her mind to it and soon passed, now she's considering taking a trailer test so she can tow her horse box.
Had a similar problem with another girl, first 10 paid for hours she made it clear she didn't want to be here. Next ten mum came along to make her behave. Fortunately the mum is an acquaintance so after daughter slammed out of the car on the last lesson I was able to persuade mum to go away and think about it. it. She hasn't had a lesson since but they bought her her own car which has never been driven.

Just read in an Instructor magazine how one particular driving school has lots of pupils because the pupil is allowed to choose the day and time of their lesson. Apparently all other driving schools don't allow this and the instructor tells the pupil when the next lesson is.
I must be thick because I 'm missing something somewhere. My pupils tell ME when they're available and not the other way round.
Would be interesting there hear others views on thsi.

My day with the Motorway police. Conclusion. We need more.
I would like to thanks Chadderton Traffic Unit for giving me
this opportunity to spend a shift with them, I think on the whole I kept quiet
and behaved myself. Simon my driver, worked not stop from 7am until 2.30pm with
a few minutes break in a police waiting area for a car which was thought to be
coming our way. After leaving me at 2.30
he was faced with a couple of hours of paper work. The motorway police have
always been ‘just there’ never at the right time. But after my shift with Simon
who also kept me informed of what and why, while managing to listen to and
respond to constant messages on the radio I was very impressed in his
professionalism. Now I know we all complain there are not enough police about,
I agree, we were constantly dashing from one incident to another, some serious
some not. This isn’t any reflection on Simon he can only be watching one way,
but I saw people on phones and as he explained had there been two coppers in
the car the other one who saw the offence could book them. Now we’re back to
the same old - same old, we don’t have enough police and after seeing the way
people drive with a police presences I’m sure accidents would be a lot lower
because people would drive slower, pay more attentions to what is happening
around them instead of being distracted by their precious mobiles and whatever
else it is that distracts them.
